Stone study days

West Dean hosts Stone Carving Study days, aiming to provide a concentrated day which supports the developing sculptor trying to progress their work.

With a full range of tools and access to new materials to purchase, many sculptors bring along work they are progressing with, to enable group discussion and tutor feedback on the development of the works.

The Sculpture Courtyard has good working conditions, with two stone bankers and individual work benches, as well as portrait stands to look at smaller work.
